Information for group leaders

ARRIVAL / CHECK-IN

The official check-in time is between 15:00 and 18:00 or, in exceptional cases, another time by prior arrangement. When you arrive, report to reception. If you arrive outside opening hours, report to the restaurant at the centre of the resort.

NUMBER OF GUESTS

List of group members

For security (number of persons staying in each house) and invoicing purposes, upon arrival we require an updated list of group members, with the exact number of adults and young people aged between 6 and 16 years old, and children aged between 3 and 6 years old. These must be listed with surname, first name and date of birth.

Changes during your stay

The exact number of group members must be communicated upon arrival.
Early departure: If someone needs to depart early due to medical reasons, early departures will be credited upon settling the account.
Late arrivals: Additional people will be charged.

These changes must be reported by 17:00 at the latest on the relevant day. Notifications made after this time cannot be accepted for invoicing reasons.

MAKING UP BEDS / BED LINEN

Bed linen can be taken from the linen cupboard. Each guest must make their own bed. The mattresses are covered with sheets, duvets and pillows with covers. We also offer a bed making and bed stripping service by prior arrangement. We charge CHF 10.00 per person per stay for this service.

CLEANING

The common areas (wet rooms on each floor, corridors) are cleaned daily by our staff. From four nights, the wet rooms in the rooms get an additional clean after two nights. Bins are emptied as required.

HAND TOWELS / BATH TOWELS

You must bring your own hand towels and bath towels. If required, a set can be hired for CHF 5.00.

CHECK-OUT / ROOM SIGN-OFF

Before departure, the accommodation is checked by Sport Resort staff and a group leader. Any faults are recorded in writing. Arrange a time for handing over your room at reception no later than one day before your departure.

Check-out is by 10:00 at the latest. If you depart after 10:00, you can leave your luggage in a room designated by reception.

Cleaning

Members of each group must clean the rooms and the common / training room with a broom or vacuum cleaner and remove any posters, notices, etc. The waste bins in the rooms (including the common / training rooms) must be emptied into the large bins in the corridors.

If the rooms and common / training rooms are not left clean, in accordance with our regulations, an invoice will be issued for any additional cleaning costs.

In Pavilions 2 and 6 there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms.

SPORTS FACILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

Reserve the facilities and services you require together with your accommodation reservation. Additional services and facilities can be reserved on site, subject to availability. This also applies to free use of the indoor swimming pool during opening hours.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR MEALS

Mealtimes

Guests must honour the agreed meal times, as late arrival may compromise the quality of the food and lead to long waiting times.

Breakfast: 07:30 to 08.30

Lunch: 12:00 to 13:00

Evening meal: 18:00 to 19:15

Meals are served within the times listed. Meal times will be set by us for each group individually, one week before arrival. Upon arrival, please contact the restaurant manager regarding table allocation and meal times for your group. Requests will be accommodated whenever possible. In the case of very large groups, meals will be served in shifts (30-minute slot per group).

Allergies, intolerances and meat consumption

Persons with special dietary requirements must let us know the following no later than one week before the start of their stay: Surname, first name, type of allergy or intolerance and/or requirements for meat dishes.

To ensure that staff can identify those with special dietary requirements and do not serve them the wrong food, we ask group leaders to report to the chef and/or restaurant manager before the group’s first meal in the restaurant.

The number of vegetarians and people who do not eat pork must also be notified in advance.

Supplements

Our kitchen and service staff are encouraged to serve reasonable portions. All guests are welcome to help themselves to second or repeat servings. Unfortunately, this does not apply to meat, fish or desserts!

We will serve freshly prepared tea upon request. We charge CHF 1.80 per litre for this service.

External drinks or food

Drinks or food from outside the hotel may not be brought into or consumed in the resort restaurant or the Berghaus. If this request is ignored, a “corkage fee” and disposal costs may be charged.

Packed lunch

Instead of a main meal, our guests can also put together a packed lunch if they wish. Put together your own sandwich with a roll, cheese, meat, tomato and cucumber. The offer is completed by a packet of nuts, a fruit and a bar. We ask guests to bring their own lunch box and water bottle. We can also provide tea (at a charge) if ordered. Please report to reception by 17:00 the day before.

Special requests

Special requests (fondue, raclette and other specialities) are available at a surcharge and by prior arrangement. Contact our team for advice.

HOUSE RULES AND REGULATIONS

The night-time quiet period between 22:00 and 07:00 must be strictly observed out of consideration for other guests.

Night-time quiet hours and noise

Mobile loudspeakers are not allowed in the resort unless for a special occasion. Camp leaders can approve this in consultation with the Sport Resort team.

Smoking ban / fire alarm system

Smoking is strictly prohibited in all buildings at the Sport Resort. Non-compliance incurs a fine of up to CHF 100.00. For safety reasons, the resort has a state-of-the-art smoke alarm system. Anyone who triggers the fire alarm unnecessarily or intentionally, e.g. with a fog machine or deodorant spray, will be liable to a fine of CHF 100.00 plus any additional costs incurred (up to CHF 1000.00).

Drones

The use of drones is not permitted for data protection reasons. Aerial photographs can be taken by drones in consultation with the Sport Resort.

Dogs

Well-behaved dogs are allowed in Garni Aletsch and the chalets. You must keep your dog on a lead while on site! We charge CHF 20.00 per day/dog (excluding food). Dogs are not allowed in the dining room, indoor swimming pool, Berghaus mountain lodge or sports halls.

External guests

External visitors can visit the resort as a Sport Resort Guest. If suitable rooms are available, they are also welcome to stay at the Sport Resort. We ask organisers to book such visits in advance.

Damage

Please report any damage or functional defects to reception immediately. Quick action can often prevent greater damage from occurring.

LIABILITY / THEFT

In the event of damage or accidents, group members pay the costs through their private insurance policies. The Sport Resort accepts no liability in the event of theft. It is recommended that groups take measures to ensure that the risk of theft is reduced to an absolute minimum. It is important to pay attention to the following: Lock doors, keep your personal valuables out of sight and ideally store them in lockable cupboards. Special valuables and/or larger quantities of cash may be deposited at reception (safe).

DISPOSAL / RECYCLING

We sort our waste: Empty glass, PET bottles and aluminium must be disposed of in the designated waste bins at the pavilion entrances.
